Stress Relief ... Anytime

  1. DEEP BREATHING
Deep breathing exercises are a sure way to life some of the weight off your shoulders.   Take a deep breath in through your nose, then slowly exhale through your mouth.  Repeat.

  2. SMILE
Make it a point to smile more often, even if it feels strange at first.  Stress can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you smile, immune function improves possibly because you are more relaxed, and there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and serotonin. Together these three make us feel good.
  1. EXERCISE
Exercise releases stress and tension.  Whether its working out at a gym, walking at lunch, or doing a sport such as tennis, swimming or running, exercise is always a great stress-reliever.

  2. BALANCE
Achieve balance between your time at work and time doing things you enjoy.   Allow yourself time to rest, meditate and enjoy your life... do something that pleases you.

  3. LAUGH A LOT
Laughing is one of the easiest and best ways to reduce stress.
  1. STRETCHING
Stretch your muscles by doing a few neck and back stretches.

  2. EAT HEALTHY FOODS
Instead of a candy bar or French fries, try some fresh fruit or vegetables.
